Dearest darling mine:

How is my wover tonight? Just as lonesome for me as I am for you. I found out from some of the fellows today that they didn't leave until Sat. some time and still got here at camp Sun on time. Also that the trip by Cincy [i.e., Cincinnati] & Pitt[sburgh] was only 30 hrs long to Pitt. They could have given me better connections than they did and then I'd have more time with you. But we run into things like that when we have to depend upon other people. But we can be thankful that we did have as much time together without griping about some lost moments. Of course, I'd rather been with you, but the short time we were together sure was as nice and I enjoyed every minute of it. You is my own sweet wover. Had I come up by Pitt. I'd stopped to see [your] Mother and Daddy. That had been on my mind before I started but the inexperience people working at stations these days can't help much.

This morning I hated so much to get up. All alone in my bunk and my mommie not there trying to get me up. Guess you spoiled me. Also a mosquito was having a banquet on me last night. Then there wasn't that wonderful big breakfast waiting for me. And mommie didn't come in searching for that wittle thing. And mommie wasn't around to bring me the Phila. Inquirer.

[PAGE 2] I got to work and have some work to keep me for a few days. Sort of hope that the big map job has fallen thru, because it will be work and more wrecking work.

Sent you 12 packs of Camels [cigarettes] this P.M. They were 12¢, and that's cheap compared to up home, and also they are Camels. They sell us a carton at a time if we want it. So I'll get another in a few days and send you some more. If you get down to say 4 packs, leave me know so that they will get there before you run out entirely.

Did you get your shoes on Sat. Bet you and Motteski had fun. Was it crowded? Got your wittle note tonight. I love you more than ever, you big sweet piece of stuff.

I'm going to write to Tor tonight and then sit around and maybe get in a bridge game. You keep sweet for me and don't work to[o] hard in the apartment. You are all mine and I'm all yours. So you be good & get alot of rest so you are in good shape when I get home again in 6 - 8 - 10 months. I can dream, can't I. I love you more than you'll ever know.

Your only wover, who woves you only. Les
